Cyclic phosphonates are highly efficient and environmentally friendly phosphonate flame retardants. They have excellent thermal stability and are soluble in most polymer compounds. They are not easy to migrate and the VOC content of flame retardant products is much lower than other types of flame retardants. Cyclic phosphonates have a phosphorus content of more than 20%, which is higher than most organic phosphorus flame retardants on the market.
Cyclic phosphonates have very good water solubility and are suitable for flame retardant treatment of decorative fabrics for automotive interiors, curtains, special work clothes, textiles, polyester and water-based acrylic/water-based polyurethane coatings. The treated non-woven fabrics are durable and washable, meeting increasingly stringent flame retardant requirements.
